However, if you want a stylish lamp that not only illuminates your living room but also makes your home complete, then Louis Poulsen is the right choice. The lamps from Denmark are designed with the idea that they should fit into any home. Therefore, many variants appear in various sizes. In addition, you should never look directly into the light source. For this reason, much attention is paid to the incorporation of internal reflectors in the lamps that reflect the light into the room. You can see these reflectors, but they are designed to be part of the lamp. Very clever! Up to this point, a lot of time is spent on designing a Louis Poulsen lamp. It would be a shame if cheap materials ruined the whole design, which is why the Scandinavian lamp brand uses strong, durable metals, such as mouth-blown glass, aluminium and stainless steel. Then, for example in the case of the Louis Poulsen PH 5 pendant lamp, these are powder coated and wet painted.

Louis Poulsen now also makes a copper and a brass version of its best-selling PH 5 and PH 5 Mini lamp. These shiny metal shades give a luxurious look and are applied untreated. A unique patina look is the result over time. Occasionally, Louis Poulsen releases special editions of certain lamps. Be quick, because they are often only available in limited quantities and they are guaranteed to become collector's items.

The Louis Poulsen PH series, in the case of the PH 2/1, PH 3/2, PH 3.5/3 and PH 3.5/2.5, is made of traditionally blown glass from a glass studio in Italy. The strict quality control ensures that glass screens with a defect are not used in the pendant lamps, wall lamps, table lamps and floor lamps. Furthermore, the glass is white opal in colour and the handmade mouth-blown product has a maximum size of 450 mm. The glass is then sandblasted on the inside, creating a matt texture. The purpose of this is that the matt interior provides soft and pleasant light that radiates downwards, while the smooth exterior makes the most of every ray of light to reflect into the room.

Light sources used to be very large and increased in size as more light was required. Louis Poulsen would be crazy not to move with the times, which is why it is introducing new lamps with an integrated LED light source. The use of a small LED gives designers completely new possibilities for building the luminaire around the light source. A good example of this is the new Louis Poulsen Flindt outdoor lamps. These wall lights and floor lamps have rounded shapes and have an LED chip at the top of the fixture that is hidden behind an upright edge. The light then shines down over a slide of cast and extruded aluminium, illuminating the ground and the fixture. Another typical example of LED innovation is the Panthella lamp series. The Louis Poulsen Panthella portable is a small table lamp that you charge and easily take with you. Because it is energy-efficient, it will last at least five hours at full brightness. It goes without saying that it lasts even longer when you dim the lamp.
