    Unikko was created in 1964 by Maija Isola and has since become an international icon of print design. Marimekko founder Armi Ratia believed it was not possible to capture the true essence of real flowers truthfully in print. Therefore, floral prints were previously excluded from Marimekko's collections. Therefore, Maija Isola designed Unikko as an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic representation. Today, Unikko is a powerful symbol of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko's design identity. Oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.
