Langani natural jewellery for women
Feeling the structure of the material, combining the variety of colours and the spectrum of shapes, all this is the beginning of the history of a piece of jewellery. Inspiration knows no boundaries. Whether nature is chosen as a model, a visit to the theatre serves as a source of inspiration or a walk along the sea conjures up new impressions - langani jewellery always tells a story. After the careful selection of materials, the actual craftsmanship comes into play ... The passing on of traditional techniques such as air threading and the development and improvement of new crafts are always created in the ongoing design process.

History
Anni Schaad collected everything she found remarkable and charming: paper scraps, feathers, flowers, shells and unusual stones, glass beads and sequins. It all fitted into a shoe box that had saved her from the war - now the materials fill countless shelves.
From her maiden name Anni Lang, the brand langani - and a black pearl became the hallmark of the uniqueness and authenticity of each individual piece of jewellery.
After the first successes at the Frankfurt fair in 1952, Anni Schaad was driven forward. With the "Fleur d'amour" brooch - a bouquet of pearls and glass birds - she delighted the international public in 1953.
In the 1960s, Langani was defined by glass beads in every conceivable colour and shape, which were hand-wound in their own workshop. On special request, they produced beads in the striking colours of contemporary painting - an absolute nouveau compared to the fake gemstone colours that were common until then.
The convenience of their invention of the "luftgefädelten pearls" - in which glass beads are so attached to nylon threads that they seem to dance on the skin - is the zeitgeist of a fashion-conscious and equally shocking youth, who rounds out their wardrobe with "a Langani".

Exotic fruit pods, fine feathers, sea urchin stems, ostrich eggs, horn, leather and alpaca ... But also unusually shaped exotic woods. Precious metals and even synthetic materials complement the material mix to create a variety of unique jewellery.

The 80s
In the 80s, the shrill fashion trend of the androgynous image of women with bright colours and unnatural cuts dominated. In contrast, a feminine, folkloric style had its place.
During this period, langani make strict necklaces with straight, coloured plexi elements. Rubber and rubber snakes are transformed into fascinating chokers, wrapped in silk thread and rhinestones, far from their original use. But natural materials such as horn, dyed leg and brocade ribbons and embroidered borders are also used and combine the two styles in an unusual way.
The daughter Anni Schaads, Susanne Kiess-Schaad (who keeps at her mother's side, the artistic director and since 1984 the management since 1965) is acquired after the death of the company founder in December 1988 the company "Langani with the black pearl" on its own. A dedicated team of designers stands by her side.

The 90s
The 90s. Fashion is purely worn - stylists and photographers refuse accessories. Nevertheless, Langani can inspire the ladies with extraordinary ideas. Glass painting includes filigree frames that make brooches appear like small works of art. Magical miniature worlds created - new, own pearl creations, wire balls "around air" open up many creative possibilities.
The first decade of the new millennium is regaining the vibes of the past years. Mandatory fashion requirements, which had to be met in order to be "in vogue", finally say goodbye. Although it is always the case today that a "current trend" can have its own style, a jewel from Langani emphasises a woman's individuality and gives her personality and charisma a special touch.
The new Langani collections can underline different styles. Large expressive bolas, simple, classic and elegant necklaces, long chains, and single- and multi-row gemstones - colour coordinated, they always make a harmonious whole, together with bracelets and earrings.
langani - Jewellery today as before possesses a unique charm. With great attention to detail, sensitivity in the selection of colour and material and technical perfection, it is still designed in the studio and workshop in Germany and made by hand.
