Why you should choose a Blaest mackintosh
The Blaest women's mackintosh is a jacket that is windproof, waterproof and breathable, in addition to being lightweight and very comfortable to wear. This along with the colourful colourways and accents make a very fun and drafty jacket for all day wear.
The properties of the fabrics used for these women's mackintoshes ensure that you really stay dry during a heavy downpour while walking the dog, going for a walk or cycling.
Women's mackintoshes from Blaest
Lisbeth Lillebøe is the founder of the Blaest brand from Bergen in Norway. She designed Blaest women's mackintoshes that are elegant and colourful but above all functional. In Bergen, it rains on average 200 days a year. Lisbeth Lillebøe found it a challenge to let ladies take to the streets in a feminine and elegant way despite the rainy weather. As a result, she designed mackintoshes that are windproof, waterproof and breathable, as well as being lightweight and very comfortable to wear. This combined with cheerful colours and accents makes it a successful challenge for ladies in the rain.
The Blaest brand was acquired and split and continued in 2020 into the already existing Blaest brand and the new Regn brand which is based in Denmark. The Regn women's mackintosh brand has taken over the original style of Blaest women's mackintoshes by Lisbeth Lillebøe with, of course, the same quality and features you are used to from the Blaest brand.
How Blaest women's mackintoshes are waterproof
Why is the women's mackintosh by Regn waterproof. The waterproofness of a fabric is expressed in water column. The fabric is waterproof from 1,500 mm onwards only by wearing in the wind or carrying a backpack, the water pressure can exceed 1,500 mm making the jacket still not waterproof.
Regn's elegant women's jackets can withstand a water pressure of 10,000 mm or 1 bar, making the Regn women's jacket waterproof.
In addition, all seams on the inside of the jacket are sealed with tape. This also prevents water from entering through the seams.
The zip always has a flap with press studs on the outside or a draught and moisture strip behind the zip.
In short, the Regn women's jacket has the quality of a mountaineering jacket only in an elegant and feminine design. Functional, light and a jacket that women like to be seen in.
